The purpose of this book is to provide daily inspiration and guidance for anyone who wishes to teach the Qur’an. This book is by no means limited to just teachers and parents. For many years, we have been using supplementary Qa’idahs, Tajweed books etc.
This book aims to centralise the teaching tips into one concise book and aims to be the ultimate Qur’an teaching handbook for anyone who wishes to teach the Qur’an. In this book, each daily tip is explained further which gives the reader a more detailed guidance of how to practically implement each teaching tip into real life. We have also included 52 inspiring teaching quotes of the week, to help motivate the reader further.
Teaching the Qur’an is no easy task. It is challenging but extremely rewarding. There is no better joy than seeing your pupils develop their Qur’anic knowledge right in front of you. Also, a very beautiful and powerful hadith comes to mind: “The best of you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it to others.” (Sahih Bukhari). Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was the greatest example of how to teach the Qur’an with excellence. He was a walking, talking example of what the Qur’an should be like in real life.
Every child and pupil are different. No Qur’an lesson will ever be the same. The challenges in teaching the Qur’an will vary from child to child and pupil to pupil. Hopefully, this book will provide some source of guidance for teachers and parents to help them to not only understand their pupils better but to develop their own teaching pedagogy and skills. As Muslims, we must always strive for Itqan (excellence) in everything that we do in life. What better way to strive for excellence than teaching the best of all books, The Holy Qur’an?
This book is aimed at a wide range of audiences for teachers and parents in various classroom settings. Whether you are someone who teaches Qur’an in a school, madrasah, private one-to-one tuition or even to your own children; this book will hopefully benefit you in some way. The book is also useful for those may wish to start teaching the Qur’an eventually.
Not all sections of this book may apply to every reader. Every teacher and parent are different. We all have our own unique methods of teaching the Qur’an and our individual strengths and weaknesses vary.
