Providing water to those in need in Gambia.
Start a campaign to fundraise towards building a Borehole.
A borehole is either an electric or solar powered mechanism which involves drilling deep into the ground to access clean water. The water is then powered up and a tap system is created. The advantages of a borehole make it more sustainable, easily maintained and accessible to all.
It is important for public health that available water- whether it is used for drinking, domestic use or food production- is safe. It has been proven that improved water supply and sanitation can boost countries economic growth and result in poverty reduction. Every person has the right to safe, continuous and physically accessible water for personal and domestic use.
A Borehole costs £3000 to build and consists of:
A solar pump
Solar panel/Electric setup
A tap
Large water tank and stand
Personalised plaque with your name
Once you have reached your target please email us the link of your fundraising page and the name of the person you would like on the plaque to waterislife@spotproject.org
