URGENT: Medical Mission to Syria – September 2025

Help Us Heal Syria. Support Lifesaving Surgeries and Specialist Care for War-Affected Communities

After more than a decade of war, Syria’s healthcare system has collapsed. Hospitals lie in ruins, medical supplies are scarce, and millions of people—many of them children—are suffering without access to life-saving care.

From 20–27 September 2025, Action For Humanity is launching a critical medical mission to Damascus, Homs, Hama, Latakia, and Aleppo—cities devastated by war, but filled with people still holding onto hope.

We are sending world-class surgeons and medical specialists from the UK and across the globe to provide free surgeries and urgent consultations for war-affected families.

The Need Is Real

Children with disfiguring injuries. Elders suffering from chronic conditions. Young adults with organ failure. Thousands of people are living with treatable illnesses but have no access to specialist care.

Our team includes orthopaedic, reconstructive, cardiothoracic, paediatric, and general surgeons, alongside experts in anaesthesia, neurology, ophthalmology, pulmonology, psychiatric , and nephrology. Their work can truly change lives—but only with your support.

Why We Go Beyond the Operation

“Providing the best and most appropriate surgical care to patients is our priority. Yet five billion people worldwide can't access surgical care. I feel it is a duty to not only provide this first-hand to those not privileged to have it, but also to train future surgeons in decision-making and practical surgical techniques, using the resources available on the ground.”

“Through my broad surgical practice, I will offer both open and laparoscopic surgery in general, colorectal, cancer, emergency/trauma, IBD, and day case surgery. I also plan to train local surgeons in techniques I teach on Advanced Trauma Life Support and Hostile Environment Surgical Training.”

“Building on a previous mission, I will also introduce training materials and posters for hospitals, aimed at a crucial but often overlooked group: the patients, families, and caregivers. Empowering them with knowledge is key—and as a non-Arabic speaker, I know how vital clear and respectful communication is.”

This mission is not only about treatment. It’s about capacity-building, dignity, and sustainable progress—healing people and strengthening systems.
