URGENT: Medical Mission to Syria – October 2026
Help Us Heal Syria. Support Lifesaving Surgeries and Specialist Care for War-Affected Communities
After more than a decade of war, Syria’s healthcare system has collapsed. Hospitals lie in ruins, medical supplies are scarce, and millions of people—many of them children—are suffering without access to life-saving care.
I will personally be travelling to Syria in October to join the medical and surgical teams supporting patients who have been through unimaginable hardship and have no access to proper healthcare.
With your Support and Assistance, I also joined last years mission in September 2025. Back then, Action for Humanity launched one of its most ambitious medical deployments to date, “Taafi – Doctors from the World to Syria”, sending a multidisciplinary team of UK-based and international doctors into Syria to address the country’s ongoing healthcare crisis. The campaign was launched in partnership with the Syrian Ministry of Health and Action for Humanity, with the goal of enhancing medical services and reducing surgical waitlists for complex cases.
Over the course of five days, the medical team reached 1,042 patients across five cities including 120 Complex Surgeries and more than 600 Medical Consultations- many of which I participated in with my skillset. These individuals represented a cross-section of Syria’s population, from children injured in conflict to elderly patients suffering from chronic conditions.
The Need Is Real
Children with disfiguring injuries. Elders suffering from chronic conditions. Young adults with organ failure. Thousands of people are living with treatable illnesses but have no access to specialist care.
Our team includes orthopaedic, reconstructive, cardiothoracic, paediatric, and general surgeons, alongside experts in anaesthesia, neurology, ophthalmology, pulmonology and nephrology. Their work can truly change lives—but only with your support.
What Your Donation Supports
Every pound you contribute will be utilised during the mission itself to support surgeries, medications, equipment, logistics, patient care, and interpretation services.
Every contribution helps us:
✅ Perform emergency and specialist surgeries
✅ Provide medications and ICU support
✅ Equip operating theatres in overstretched hospitals
✅ Fund logistics, medical interpreters, and patient care
✅ Treat hundreds of patients in just one week
Why We Go Beyond the Operation
“Providing the best and most appropriate surgical care to patients is our priority. Yet five billion people worldwide can't access surgical care. I feel it is a duty to not only provide this first-hand to those not privileged to have it, but also to train future surgeons in decision-making and practical surgical techniques, using the resources available on the ground.”
“Building on a previous mission, I will also introduce training materials and posters for hospitals, aimed at a crucial but often overlooked group: the patients, families, and caregivers. Empowering them with knowledge is key—and as a non-Arabic speaker, I know how vital clear and respectful communication is.”
This mission is not only about treatment. It’s about capacity-building, dignity, and sustainable progress—healing people and strengthening systems.
"Whoever saves one life, it is as if he had saved mankind entirely."
(Qur’an 5:32)
