This Ramadan, we are giving you the opportunity to donate to a unique one of a kind project which will make a huge difference to the lives of our Palestinian brothers and sisters.

A staggering 6,000 Palestinians including children are estimated to have lost a limb in Gaza since October 2023.

They are facing not only physical pain but the loss of independence, livelihoods and hope. 

This is why ilmfeed is fundraising to help establish a fully equipped, state-of-the-art mobile surgical unit on wheels which is dedicated to limb reconstruction and major surgery in Gaza.

This mobile unit is fully self-contained and will be deployed at the Nasser Hospital. Here, skilled local surgeons will operate it with logistical support. It will immediately boost surgical capacity, enabling life-changing procedures to take place safely and efficiently.

As a mobile facility, it can also be relocated and parked in other safe locations if needed, ensuring continuity of care in a challenging environment. If relocation is not required, it will remain at Nasser Hospital as part of a long-term asset in rebuilding Gaza’s healthcare infrastructure.

600 patients will benefit from life-saving treatment per year.

£500 can provide a prosthetic limb and major trauma surgery for one injured person in Gaza.

Islamic Relief’s work has been instrumental in supporting medical projects in Palestine, including bolstering emergency responses by supporting key healthcare institutions. Their established operations and local partnerships ensure that this mobile surgical theatre will be implemented effectively and reach those most in need.
