Education is vital for displaced Syrian refugee children and will promise them a brighter future. 

Education is the key to a bright future, preventing refugee children from becoming victims of exploitation, underage labor, and child marriage. Our team and volunteers have been working towards building long-term solutions for the children in these camps. Through the generosity of our supporters, we have educated nearly 10,000 children in our education centers offering a specialized curriculum to support their needs. 

Over a decade has passed since the start of the conflict in Syria and displaced children and families are still suffering. A generation of children has lost their right to education. Jusoor’s Refugee Education Program supports displaced Syrian children to study in a safe, warm, and happy environment. 

Jusoor’s education centers offer them respite from the outside, a warm meal, and psychosocial support. Our curriculum is designed and adapted for students who unfortunately have suffered from a severely disrupted educational journey, with some attending school for the first time. 

What is the Refugee Education Program?

Jusoor’s Refugee Education Program offers a lifeline to a brighter future for millions of Syrian refugee children with programs designed by specialists to support students of all ages and learning abilities.

Our Program offers:

• A safe space to learn, make friends, and play
• The latest educational techniques with differentiated learning adapted to each child
• Vital psychosocial support
• Nutritious meals
• Lessons on bodily ownership, hygiene, and life skills
• School supplies, toys, and transport

Our education centers offer more than just schooling; they protect the children, giving them a safe place to learn and play, teaching them bodily ownership and hygiene, and intervening when they see signs of abuse, child marriage, or endangerment. 

We strive to support the most vulnerable children who are often the most difficult to reach. Who is Jusoor?

Jusoor means ‘bridges’ in Arabic, we are an international NGO and our mission is “Maximizing the Potential of Syrian Youth Through Education.”
