Imam Mohamed Hassan Adam, a father, a husband and a pillar of the community as a longtime Imam at Masjid Abu Hurairah mosque on the Northeast Side, had been missing since Wednesday. We are shocked and saddened to learn that his body has been found and the cause of death is still under investigation. 

 

"Tonight, we are shocked and devastated by the murder of Sheikh Dr. Mohamed Hassan Adam of Masjid Abu Hurairah – a beloved pillar of the Columbus Somali Muslim community. Our entire Ohio Muslim community has suffered a profound and tragic loss. We send our deepest condolences to his family and are reaching out to offer our support. Imam Mohamed will forever live on in the hearts of those whose lives he touched with his selfless acts, and we will work tirelessly to keep his legacy alive. But first, we need your help. Those responsible for committing this heinous act are still at large and need to be brought to justice. Now is the time. 
 

We request the authorities to conduct a thorough investigation, and we pray justice will be served swiftly.
