Help us raise funds to empower muslim families to spearhead change in our communities through our groundbreaking ecosystem of Islamic projects. #ProjectBarakah

Dear Friends, Family and Community,

We are excited to share our Project Barakah fundraising campaign, which supports over 350 people monthly through various grassroots organisations. As a husband and wife team, we volunteer across various parts of the organisation.

Our main focus is on providing mental health support and youth programmes for families, especially mothers, sisters, and children, with an emphasis on Islamic education.

At Al-Madad Outreach, we offer subsidised counselling and self-care resources.

Donations will help support individuals facing faith crises, domestic violence, marital issues and mental health struggles. Your contribution will cover core operational costs, including nearly £250k in volunteer work.

Our organisations include:

  • Al-Madad Outreach: Mental health, counselling, and mediation services
  • The Quran Institute & Academy: Building strong Muslim families and nurturing future talent
  • Suhba Collective: A space for community worship and connection
  • Mehron Nisa Women's Centre: Empowering Muslim mothers through health and self-defense
  • Two Youth Centres: For mothers and daughters.  Fathers and sons, offering activities, talks, self-defence class and bonding sessions
  • Futuwwa: Self-defense and fitness for Muslim boys

Our journey began with a desire to support those struggling in our community, leading to the creation of the Youth Sanctuary Centre for mothers and daughters in 2023. The costs for trainers, activities and refreshments are ongoing and we need your help to sustain this.

Last year, we focused on counselling, marriage mediation, and supporting those with faith crises. The Al-Madad Listening Line provides emotional support for those facing abuse and mental health challenges.

Please consider donating to keep these services running and to help those in need. Every contribution makes a difference.

Thank you for your continued support!

Jazākumullahu Khayran

P.S we have exciting updates and news about our work:

Our personal journeys

Alhumdulillah, as parents to two daughters, volunteers with grassroots organisations and qualified counsellors, we are dedicated to using our time and energy to help the community.

Road to Al-Madad Outreach

We’ve witnessed the suffering in our communities and recognised the hidden struggles many face with their wellbeing. Five Ramadans ago, we joined Al-Madad Outreach after being inspired by its founder, Mufti Moinul Abu Hamza and his vision. Since then, we’ve become dedicated advocates for this important work. We can tell you the caseload has multiplied over the years!

Road to The Youth Centre: Mothers & Daughters

As a mother of two girls, I wanted to create a service to support young girls affected by family disputes, abuse and loss of identity or faith. After discussing the idea with Mufti Moinul Abu Hamza, we opened The Youth Sanctuary Centre for Mothers and Daughters in September 2023. The programme includes self defence classes, games, refreshments and empowerment sessions to strengthen the mother daughter bond, build confidence and create a safe space for learning and making new friendships. However, these activities come with costs for trainers, games, and additional termly programs.

Over the past year, we have offered numerous workshops including emotional wellbeing workshops for mothers and daughters, journalling sessions and additional parenting workshops. At the youth centre, we are addressing crucial topics to empower our girls to become the voices of the future!

Highlight of Al-Madad Outreach work last year

Here are some of the areas of work Al-Madad Outreach focussed on last year:

  • Counselling and therapy from qualified, insured and supervised counsellor
  • Provide bespoke marriage mediation and dispute resolution service for families from a socially aware and juristic perspective
  • Continue running our Faith crisis centre for those who have doubts or are on the verge of losing their faith
  • We have added new counsellors and pastoral care workers to help reduce the waiting list.

The Al-Madad Listening Line

The Al-Madad Listening Helpline is a confidential, non-judgmental emotional support service that has been running for three years. We are currently training new volunteers to extend the helpline's hours.

Go on….What are you waiting for…..You can make a difference!

We really need your support for services that are badly underfunded, so please help us make a difference for someone who is struggling in life.

Remember! Your donation will keep our services running for longer and give us the boost we need to reach our fundraising target, a cause that is close to our hearts.

Please support our work on the ground!
