PROJECT EXPLANATION 

In 2017, UNHCR reported 4 million refugee children are out of school, and that number increases by 500,000 each year. As part of the Sustainable Development Goals 2030 pledged by the United Nations (UN), one of the goals for this initiative is Quality Education for all. It advocates for quality education for all children regardless of nationality, ability and socioeconomic background. 

Children make up less than one-third of the global population, but almost half of the world's refugees in 2020. Today, nearly 1 in 3 children living outside their countries of birth are child refugees for adults, the proportion is less than 1 in 20. Playing our part to advocate for education equality, Sahlah Academy has teamed up with Philandure to be a part of this cause.

All these programs will be internationally accredited and will align with the Islamic culture and will be conducted in Arabic. 

THE PROBLEM 

The COVID-19 pandemic has negatively affected many groups of people, and the refugees around the world are no exception. 

As refugees, it is hard for them to have access to formal education due to an array of factors, mainly financial. This is evidently heart-breaking and the divide has to be bridged soon in order for them to receive a fair chance to make a better life for themselves in the future. We hope to make education equality a reality and easily accessible to those who need it. 

THE SOLUTION 

In an effort to solve this crisis, we have come up with a solution. We, at Sahlah Academy, will be providing a sustainable solution via an electronic educational platform that can be supported on mobile devices as well. 

Accreditation: Cognia for General Education and ATHE for Vocational Education.

Sahlah Academy’s long history of successful training has been proven to be effective and useful. Sahlah Academy is currently in 6 different countries all over the world. We aim to be the go-to education provider in the Arabic language.
