A Difficult Time in The Harsh Winter at The Camp
Winter is a difficult time for the poor and needy. The situation for the Rohingya refugees is far worse as they left behind everything. The Rohingya refugees remain defenseless against the cruel weather. They have little to protect themselves in the winter. Life at the camp is hard having to live in the small makeshift shelters made of bamboo and plastic with little food and other necessities.
How You Can Help
Millions of refugees and the poor will be hurting this winter as they struggle to survive this cold winter without proper shelters, warm clothes, and and fuel for heating. Your simple gifts like blankets and hoodies can be the protection for them all winter long. Your warmth can comfort these refugee women, children, elderly, and other needy people. Your little support can bring warmth and smiles to the faces of these disadvantaged people.
How BASMAH is Helping

In the USA and UK, we often take heating systems for granted, but in Bangladesh, a different reality unfolds. Many endure nights under the open sky, at railway stations, or in makeshift shelters, longing for a touch of warmth. Basmah and its compassionate team have risen to the occasion during this winter emergency, extending a helping hand to these unsung heroes of the night. On Jan 22, the Basmah team distributed winter clothing in rural Bangladesh, Sunamganj.
