Every year, our mission at PaliRoots is to ensure that families in Gaza can count on a warm meal. This year, we want to fuel meals for all four kitchens we have operating in Gaza for the whole month of Ramadan in collaboration with MECA.

Our Ramadan Goal: $150,000 (350,000 Meals)

In total, it costs around $5,200 per day to run these four kitchens throughout the 30 days of Ramadan; that’s $150,000 to cover storage rental, ingredients, staff wages, and meal distribution. Your donations allow us to purchase fresh vegetables, maintain kitchens, and cook nutrient-rich meals for entire communities, meaning fewer children go to bed hungry.

A Recap of Our Impact So Far

Over the past year, your support has empowered us to:

• Provide Over 1 Million Hot Meals By subsidizing fresh ingredients, covering kitchen costs, and employing local chefs, we served families across Gaza.
• Deliver Freshly Baked Bread When flour was available, we baked and distributed over 100,000 pieces of bread to enhance the nutritional value of our meal deliveries.
• Launch a Pilot Malnutrition Program We screened nearly 6,000 children under age five for moderate or severe malnutrition, ensuring 600+ of them received vital follow-up treatment, fortified foods, and supplements.
• Support Children with Celiac Disease We provided specialized, gluten-free flour to 1,000 children, helping them maintain a safer, healthier diet.

Thanks to these initiatives, countless families experienced relief and renewed hope. Now, we’re determined to push our impact even further.

Our Partners

MECA works to protect the health, lives, and rights of children in the Middle East. The primary tools they use are aid, education, and empowerment. Programs include direct humanitarian relief as well as projects to help support income generation. Human rights awareness is also improved by encouraging dialogue on an international level. MECA manages the distribution process and the funds will go directly to their organization.
