Overview

The Innovation Lab is a Makerspace room that offers students access to equipment, training, and support while promoting a culture of collaboration, investigating, tinkering, and discovery.  Students learn to use 3D printers, laser cutters, sewing machines, clay/pottery machines, woodworking materials, drills and saws, and more.  Students have the opportunity to develop a community of sharing, building, and exploration while gaining hands-on experience of real world trades including, but not limited to carpentry, pottery, robotics, and different aspects of Architecture and Engineering.  

Goals

1. Engage students in a fun, hands on STEAM program (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) at an early age
2. Create an environment of exploration, project design, and team innovation
3. Allow students real life experiences with trades such as carpentry, pottery, computer science, robotics, and different aspects of Architecture and Engineering
4. House the Future City Competition projects
