INTRODUCTION:

Islam On Demand is an established Islamic media organization whose efforts have been recognized by countless supporters/viewers and by the likes of Ahmed Deedat (R), Sh. Hamza Yusuf and Imam Abdallah Hakim Quick. We’ve been working diligently to educate people about Islam since 1996! The fruit of our efforts can be enjoyed by all at our YouTube channel, where we have over 2,500 videos and 94,000 subscribers!

But due to a lack of funds this effort has dwindled to only a part-time effort. Currently we have only one staff member who works just 5-8 hours per week. Full-time funding would allow us to develop many, many more projects for the sake of Islam, and at a much more rapid pace.

WHY WE NEED MONEY:
Professional video productions require numerous costs. While we do generate some funds through ads, downloads and DVD sales, the revenue is simply not enough to cover these costs. In the short term your contribution will help to bridge this gap. In the long term, your contribution may enable us to transition Islam On Demand to a full-time effort so that we can focus our time and efforts on producing Islamic media 40-60 hours per week, instead of the current 5-8 hours per week. Full-time Islamic work really needs financial support. Imam Siraj Wahhaj says it best...

WHAT EXACTLY YOUR MONEY WILL BE USED FOR:

Currently we have two critical projects in the pipeline that require funding:

  1. "Jannah 4K" video - This awe-inspiring video will, insha' Allah, be similar to our recently released Jannah HD video but will feature premium stock video in pristine 4K quality!

  2. "Answering Difficult Questions About Islam" - This video series will feature interviews that get straight to the point of many controversial and challenging issues that Muslims may have a hard time explaining to non-Muslims. Issues such as the "beating" verse, Prophet Muhammad's (P) marriage to Aisha, apostasy laws, Muslim conquests in the spread of Islam, slavery, female genital mutilation, etc.

    On YouTube, Facebook and Twitter we've noticed these issues being raised and Muslims struggling to explain them. What usually happens is an exhausting back-and-forth exchange that is rooted more in emotion than real knowledge. Our goal with this series is to provide a resource and tool that Muslims (or anyone) can utilize to clarify the matter.

    Key features of this series:

    a) Each issue will be addressed with a stand-alone video. One issue per video.
    b) The issue will be addressed immediately and as concisely as possible.
    c) Each video will be no more than 15 minutes in length.
    d) Video and audio quality will be of the highest standard: HD or 4K, clear audio, sharp focus, and professional set design.
    e) The scholar will be white or European-American who speak clear English (ideal ambassadors to a primarily non-Muslim audience).
    f) Valid questions and comments will be replied to directly by the scholar and highlighted during the video and in the comments section.

    Targeted speakers include Hamza Yusuf, Umar Farooq Abd-Allah and Abdal Hakim Murad. Final selection will be determined by availability, travel costs, and other logistical considerations.

"30 Facts About Islam" in Spanish - This website, eBook and pamphlet have been in distribution since 1993. A Spanish version is long overdue! Our plan is to pay for an accurate human translation, and not rely upon Google Translate's machine translation.


OUR HISTORY:
A small fledgling organization called MeccaCentric Da’wah Group popped onto the scene in 1996 with a passionate and dedicated mission of sharing the message of Islam through media. We traveled throughout North America and even as far as Morocco to record lectures by various imams and scholars. We tried our best to sustain the effort and adapt to the changes in technology. In 2009 we changed our name to Islam On Demand, began distributing out content on iTunes and spent over $10,000 building an iPhone app. But rising costs and dwindling sales eventually took their toll. And in 2013 our staff were forced to take regular corporate jobs doing non-Islamic work. It is our dream to return Islam On Demand to a full-time affair. You can help us realize this dream!!
