Built by Families, Led by Youth 

The Muslim community in Staten Island has been growing, and the second home it found in our Islamic Center is trying to welcome it. Yet because of the size of the center, we are struggling to accommodate everyone. After a decade, our members have officially outgrown the current establishment. This is evident in our attempts to cater to everyone, whether through having four consecutive Jummahs or praying two Tarweeh sessions in our parking lot and surrounding streets. We need your help in completing the expansion project at MAS Staten Island’s Islamic Center, a place where we are actively finding ways to engage Muslims of all ages in strengthening their faith. The construction that expands into the lot adjacent to the center has already started, but we still need your support to complete it!​

Our center is always active

We aim to keep our members active in their journey towards faith and knowledge. We create promising events through our multiple departments, which include our:

• Youth Department
• Preteen Department
• Reverts Reconnect Department
• Service Corp (Outreach) Department
• Adult Sisters Department
• Adult Brothers Department
• Weekend School Department

What is our plan going forward? 

We have already purchased the neighboring lot for the expansion of the center. Permits from the city are obtained, contractors are hired, and construction has begun. Now, we are praying to finish the project as soon as we can, and we need urgent funding to complete the ongoing construction. The new building will include:  

• Prayer & Wudu area
• Youth lounge
• 2 Banquet halls
• Open gym
• Library & Café
• Commercial kitchen
• Child care & daycare
• Security room
• Iman & Admin offices
• Funeral services room

The MAS Staten Island Center is a safe space inclusive to all of the members of our community. At the center, you will find youth, huffaz, reverts (who have taken their Shahadahs here), and activists all striving in the way of Allah swt. The programs and events we offer allow people from every age group to feel motivated to come to the center. People come here to pray, attend a halaqa, volunteer at a food drive, improve their mental health, or drop off their kids for weekend school. Investing in this institution means investing in your Ummah for generations to come.
