A forgotten humanitarian crisis

After eight years of conflict, Yemen is one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises. The country has been suffering ongoing conflict, widespread poverty, food insecurity, and a deteriorating healthcare system which has resulted in 23.1 million people – that’s two-thirds of the entire population – needing humanitarian support.

The conflict has notably increased the vulnerability of children and women to communicable diseases, exploitation and abuse.

Help us raise $400,000 so we can build a maternal and childcare center that will change the lives of Yemeni women and children for years to come.

But what about Palestine?

Alhamdulillah your donations over the past few years has meant that we have sent $457,000 to help Palestinians - through two mobile clinics and emergency aid. The heartbreaking situation in Gaza at the moment means that very little aid is getting in and no ceasefire on the horizon.

Yemen has been strong and brave in their support of Palestine during the current genocide - one of the few Muslim countries to actually show action. However, as of Feb 2024 Yemen is now under attack whilst the World Food Programme has ‘paused’ their distribution in the country in December 2023.

Help Yemeni women and children get life-saving aid

What our Maternal and Childcare Center will include:

• Equipped with everything needed, including staff, to help 31,000 Yemeni women and children
• 2,330 of which are pregnant and 5,830 of which are children under five
• The first clinic to operate in remote regions of Al-Dhalae in Yemen
• Will help treat communicable and noncommunicable diseases; emergency for Delivery services; minor trauma management and reproductive health services
• The entire campaign is Zakat eligible
• And of course, the center will be Muzz pink!

For the second year, we’re proud to work with Muslim Aid USA because they're committed to delivering tangible projects in a way that preserves the local people. They do this by working with local experts and training local medical professionals.

Like Muzz, they also value transparency and keeping the Muzz community up to date on where your Zakat is spent. We’ll have regular updates, along with photos and videos as the project comes together.
