Bir Ummet has been successful in launching many unique and much needed projects in Syria to help the victims of war deal with trauma. The Ertugrul Ghazi Horse Riding Centre is one of them.
No where in Free Syria or elsewhere in the country have horses been used to provide PSYCHOTHERAPY, this really is a one in a kind project.
Our first Horse Riding Centre was launched in Idlib, North Syria 2016 and has been a tremendous success, we now aim to replicate the project in Azaz, North Syria to offer the same recreation and service to victims of war there.
We now have the experience and resources and together with funding from you our generous donors will use Equine Therapy to positively impact the lives of trauma victims.
Equine-assisted therapy encompasses a range of treatments that involve activities with horses and other equines to promote human physical and mental health.
These beautiful animals can offer an extraordinary amount of emotional support. Beyond the pet-owner relationship that many of us have lovingly experienced.
Equine therapy utilizes horses in therapeutic settings to help our children in Syria to proceed through challenging emotional experiences.
Apart from the psychological benefits, Horse Riding is from the Sunnah and something that needs to be revived.

Build a stall
Our horses need stalls and this is an opportunity to house one. The virtue of this in Islam is great. “…He to whom the horse will be a source of reward is the one who keeps it in Allah’s Cause, and ties it by a long rope in a pasture (or a garden). He will get a reward equal to what it’s long rope allows it to eat in the pasture or the garden, and if that horse breaks it’s rope and crosses one or two hills, then all its foot-steps and its dung will be counted as good deeds for its owner; and if it passes by a river and drinks from it, then that will also be regarded as a good deed for its owner even if he has had no intention of watering it then…” Sahih Bukhari

Currently because of the war female Arabians are extremely rare. There are hardly any left in the freed territories. The bloodlines of Purebred Arabians are preserved only through the mother also hence the reason why they are far more expensive. Help us to buy a female so that we can preserve the lineage of these amazing horses and give birth to more true Arabians. We currently have only one female and that as an amanah. We would like to buy her but are looking for a special donor to cover the cost. She will be the mother of the stable and an even better Sadaqah Jariya for you.
