Help those most vulnerable to deal with the aftermath of the pandemic with YOUR HELP

The year 2020 has left its mark on the educational sector, society and more importantly those most vulnerable.

More than one year ago the whole world shut down due to the coronavirus and we still find ourselves coping with the aftermath. Life changed for so many of us. One group that is especially affected are underprivileged children who were abandoned by the educational system and left to catch up with the load of schoolwork alone. Most of them lacking the technical equipment they need to succeed.

This Ramadan will definitely be different for all of us, but our responsibility to keep helping those in need prevails over life’s uncertainties.

Our Initiative  

We, the Muslim Youth Austria, have committed ourselves to helping the most vulnerable members of our society since our foundation over 25 years ago. Our project Share-Fast- Help does exactly that. This movement started 11 years ago and since then we’ve seen it grow from year to year and touch hearts all over Austria – alhamdullilah!

Creating Change with and without a Pandemic 

This project was designed as a platform for creating change by planning various activities throughout Ramadan, such as cooking for the homeless, visiting nursing homes or organizing environmental clean-ups.

With your donations you will help us finance activities like:

• Creating an online platform for nationwide online-tutoring sessions for underprivileged children to help them succeed in school and take off pressure from their hard-working parents

• Cooking and serving meals for homeless people

• Spending time with the elderly after a year of social-distancing and  solitude

• Increasing our social media engagement to reach more volunteers  and therefore help more people ... and much more!

Where your funds will go 

Every year, we have been fortunate enough to register rising numbers of participants from all over Austria. More and more people want to help, and spend their Ramadan doing good for others.

That’s why we need yor help to realize this project. Your support will help our organizational team cover the costs of managing this project, hiring a part-time project manager, investing in outreach and online tools and provide the necessary resources to put our plan into action. And most importantly be there and support children that have been left alone to deal with the lack of necessary infrastructure to suceed in school.

2021 will definitely be a year where we have to try and minimize the damages and hardship of those most affected by the pandemic.
