The world is a dangerous place. Especially for Muslims.

There might be 2 billion of us, but we are a population that is seriously struggling. Many Muslims live below the poverty line, struggling daily. Whether it is from surviving conflict and war or natural disaster and climate change, there are many that are struggling. The worst of it is, nearly 50% of the people that are suffering are children. Innocent children, who want nothing more than to play, live and be children. They should not be victims in any of this.

We as an ummah cannot and should not stand by and do nothing. We really have to act. For the last few years I have committed to making a difference through my humanitarian efforts, whether that is supporting education in Pakistan by building much needed schools, providing safe spaces for learning in the refugee camps in Lebanon for Syrian Refugee children, refurbishing schools and providing educational provisions alongside humanitarian aid for the people of Yemen. These are projects and areas that I truly feel passionate about.

So I want to take it one step further. This Ramadan I want to help as many children as possible. I work with READ Foundation to deliver, and I have personally seen their work and can vouch for the excellence in what they do.

I want to provide humanitarian assistance as well as the provision of education to as many children as possible. If we don’t educate them, then we cannot help them escape poverty. It is more than just a food parcel. It has to go hand in hand.

I want to transform the lives of as many orphaned and vulnerable children as possible this Ramadan.

Please help me in my mission to do this iA.

So please help me this Ramadan!
