Summary

This Ramadan, we are raising £10,000 to purchase some much needed tents for our new Scout Group, so our young people and volunteer leaders can camp safely, confidently and independently.

Why This Matters

Scouting develops responsibility, leadership and service. It builds practical skills, resilience and teamwork through real lived experience.

The Prophet ﷺ said: ‘Whoever guides to something good will have a reward like the one who does it.’ (Muslim)

By supporting this campaign, you are helping guide young people towards confidence and community service. Every act of good they go on to do carries a share of reward for those who helped create the opportunity.

Why Camping Is Essential

Camping is foundational to scouting; and tents make camping possible. Through camping, young people build confidence, resilience and teamwork and without our own tents, our ability to deliver the full scouting experience is limited.

Owning our own tents means our entire group can camp together and grow year after year.

Our Goal: £10,000

We are a new scouts group and this is our second year of running.

Alhumdulillah, we have 120 young people and nearly 30 leaders.

Most of our fundraising efforts to date have been to secure equipment required for weekly sessions. These tents are needed to ensure we progress and develop as a group.

A Lasting Investment

The tents we purchase this Ramadan will be used year after year, hosting camps, shared meals, challenges and moments of growth.

Within scouting, young people learn responsibility. They learn to support one another. They learn to lead.

The Prophet ﷺ said: ‘When a person dies, their deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge and a righteous child who prays for them.’ (Muslim)

Investing in youth is an investment in all three.

This Ramadan, help us build something that will continue to benefit young people for years to come.

May Allah reward you.
