Thank you for supporting Arafah! We are eternally grateful for your contributions.

Arafah Inc (Camp Arafah & Arafah Retreats) aims to cultivate spaces where Shia Youth in the West can renew the spirit of their faith - collaboratively with each other and with the guidance of our Islamic scholars - through knowledge, reflection, transformation, and action. Inspired by the Land of Arafah, we understand that personal and community growth occurs through a hijrah (journey). These programs take you from your comfort zone into a place where you are challenged to understand your beliefs and develop habits to enhance your actions. Understanding our relationship with Allah (swt) and our spirituality begins by understanding ourselves.

We are grassroots and youth-led. Our Islamic Scholars are involved intimately with the vision, execution, and advising of Arafah programming to ensure our programs fulfill the spiritual needs of our youth today - regardless of age, race, or cultural background. Our brothers-focused and sisters-focused programming ensures a tailored approach with a nuanced understanding of the issues facing each gender.

In our most recent Camp, we hosted 215 attendees from US and Canada, spanning over 12 States/Provinces. Camp Arafah is a 4-day/3-night retreat features activities, sports, bonfires, community-building, and workshops with guest scholars for brothers & sisters ages 17-35 across North America. With 10 male and female hawzah-trained (seminary) native English-speaking scholars present, each attendee is able to connect on a 1-1 basis with these valuable and experienced resources and develop bonds outside of the traditional masjid/lecture/classroom setting.

In ArafahRetreats' inaugural trip to Umrah, we put growth in action by taking a group of youth to Madinah & Makkah. Our tradition tells us that growth is maximized in a journey and our youth put on the sacred Ihram to reaffirm their commitments to Allah (swt). We hope to grow these retreats to include sisters-only retreats, mental health retreats, Quran retreats, trips to Ziyarah, and more Insha'Allah. Support these efforts to ensure our youth have access to scholars and spaces to build the foundation of their faith and understand their relationship with Allah (swt).

These funds are used to serve the Shia youth community through inclusive and accessible programming. By donating to Arafah, you will be investing directly into the future of the Shia youth and supporting their spiritual growth journey. Help us build infrastructure that fills the gaps, serves the needs of our youth and young adults, connects youth to native English-speaking Islamic Scholars, and creates spaces where we can learn our faith and strengthen our identity in a practical lens. Join us today in our fundraising campaign as we kick off our 3rd year together. Any donation, no matter how big or small, goes a long way in strengthening our programming and making it more accessible to youth across North America.
