What is BUILD YOUR CENTRE?

A Masjid and multipurpose Islamic centre is being built for the growing Muslim community of Perth Australia. The purchased site was previously a tavern. 

BUILD YOUR CENTRE is an initiative of THE ISLAMIC CENTRE OF WEST AUSTRALIA campaign to make this vision a reality inshaAllah.

The Islamic Centre of West Australia (WA) has acted as a provider of authentic Islamic teachings and a safe socialising space for Muslim families for over 30 years.

The centre stands proud as an integral Islamic educational organisation in the WA Muslim community.

It has well established weekly classes, youth programs and ongoing community events ready to fill the new centre inshaAllah.

In order to meet the needs of the growing Muslim community of Perth, we have embarked on  BUILD YOUR CENTRE  to fulfil these growing needs.

We believe this project is a great investment for many Muslim generations to come. 

Where are we up to?

Phase 1 & 2 has been completed Alhamdullilah. 

We are now at Phase 3!

We are commencing the BUILDING PHASE and have set an initial $1 MILLION TARGET to commence this phase.

This will cover the cost of:

1. Earthworks - electrical services, plumbing relay, resurfacing the carpark
2. Renovating the existing the building to a Masjid which will establish  the 5 daily prayers.
3. Laying the foundations of a further 4 main buildings as part of the Islamic centre

The houses of Allah are the centre of our Muslim communities. From them goodness spreads to ourselves, our families and wider communities.

Abu Qatadah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, 

“The best of what a man leaves behind are three: a righteous child who supplicates for him, ongoing charity the reward of which reaches him, and knowledge that is acted upon after him.”

Allah constantly reminds us in the Quran that anything spent in His cause earns us rewards both in this life and the next and we never loose when giving our wealth in charity.

In the Quran Allah says

“Indeed, the men who practice charity and the women who practice charity and [they who] have loaned Allāh a goodly loan - it will be multiplied for them, and they will have a noble reward.”

Surah Al Hadid 57:18

Who is The Islamic Centre of West Australia?

The Islamic Centre of West Australia (WA) is a non-for profit organisation which has been in operation since 1994.

The centre serves the spiritual and social needs of the local Muslim community in various areas such as Islamic learning, social support, community engagement and event organisation.

The classes, programs and events are catered to both genders and targeted at specific ages.
