Life Skills Course to Combat Islamophobia

We want to preserve our teachings and further develop a 'Life Skills' course that will provide our current students and Alumni with an Islamic support group to help them navigate through the challenges they may face in public schools and in the ever changing Dunya.

NHSLA has accomplished preparing children for diverse environments by participating in interfaith visits with local schools and building community understanding and positive awareness to combat misinformation, held classes led by New Horizon Alumni to provide a positive role model and improve their moral strength, and invited an interfaith expert to help prepare our children on how to navigate through difficult questions and situations.

of Los Angeles.  Many of our students come from non-English speaking
families and require financial assistance to attain an Islamic
Education.
