Kenya Unity Deployment

One Ummah. One Mission. One Opportunity to Give.

This month, six masjids are coming together for a special Unity Deployment to Kenya, standing shoulder to shoulder in support of our brothers and sisters in need.

The deployment brings together The Islam Bradford Centre, Al-Rahma Mosque Liverpool, Jamia Masjid Ahl-e-Hadith Halifax, Islam Dewsbury, Al Hikmah Project Keighley, and Al-Rahmah Faith Centre Leeds in a shared mission of service, generosity, and unity.

This is more than a journey.

It is an opportunity for our masjids and communities to unite as one Ummah, to serve, to give, and to make a lasting difference.

Through this deployment, the team will be supporting communities across Kenya through:

🕌 Mosque construction activities

🍲 Food preparation and distribution

💧 Water well visits and clean-water projects

💷 Zakat case studies and support

❤️ Engagement with sponsored orphans and families

📖 Allah calls us to give

Allah ﷻ says:

“The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a grain that grows seven ears, each bearing a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies the reward of whoever He wills.”

— Qur’an 2:261

Imagine giving today and receiving reward multiplied beyond what you could ever calculate.

Allah ﷻ also says:

“You will never achieve righteousness until you spend from what you love.”

— Qur’an 3:92

Giving is not simply about what we have left over.

It is about giving for the sake of Allah from what we value.

And Allah ﷻ reminds us:

“Whatever good you put forward for yourselves—you will find it with Allah. It is better and greater in reward.”

— Qur’an 73:20

❤️ The reward of charity

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him.”

— Sahih Muslim

A contribution towards a mosque, water project, or other lasting community benefit can become a source of ongoing reward, Sadaqah Jariyah, by the permission of Allah.

The Prophet ﷺ also said:

“The best charity is that which you give while you are self-sufficient.”

— Sahih al-Bukhari

And the Prophet ﷺ said:

“Whoever relieves a believer of a hardship from the hardships of this world, Allah will relieve him of a hardship from the hardships of the Day of Resurrection.”

— Sahih Muslim

Today, there are families facing hardship.

Children without adequate support.

Communities in need of clean water.

People eligible for Zakat.

And communities building places where Muslims can pray, learn and come together.

We have an opportunity to help.
