We have two impactful projects this Ramadan:

Our mission expands to two places desperately in need of your support: Gaza and Afghanistan.

Gaza: A Multifaceted Solution for a Fractured Community, with Partner Hathi Hayati (Goal $85,000)

 Allah promises, “Whoever removes a hardship from a believer, Allah will remove a hardship for them on the Day of Judgment.” [Sahih Muslim]

As we witness the suffering in Gaza, we are reminded of the strength of our collective compassion. Your donation provides:

🌿 Educational, Social & Emotional Support: In the midst of devastation, we will establish school classroom tents to set children back on track academically, and to foster resilience for their bright futures inshaAllah. These makeshift learning spaces will allow them to continue their education, process their emotions, and hold on to hope despite the horrors surrounding them.

💧 Physical Aid: Without electricity, many water wells are left abandoned and unusable, while families struggle to ration every last drop. We will provide generators to power these wells, ensuring access to most essential clean water. 

🕌 Spiritual Nourishment: These very same tents are currently being transformed into Ramadan masajid—offering spaces for prayer, Quran recitation, and gatherings for iftar. In times of hardship, faith is the greatest refuge in addition to physical shelter such tents provide, just as planting a smile on their faces is an act of sadaqah in itself.

Afghanistan: Continuing Our Commitment to Orphans, with Partner Orphan House (Goal $85,000)

For the fourth year, we want to remain steadfast in our commitment to support the Orphan House orphanage in Kabul, Afghanistan.

🏡 A Safe Haven: Ranked the #1 orphanage in Kabul by the European Union, Orphan House provides shelter, education, and holistic care to 32 children.

📖 Education & Tarbiyyah: These orphans receive the best schooling available through a private Afghan-Turk institution while also excelling in Quran memorization and Islamic studies.

💖 A Future of Dignity: In a country where thousands of children are left on the streets, this orphanage is a model of excellence, safety, and opportunity—a place where orphans are raised with the care and attention we would want for our own children.

The Iman Jasim Foundation was founded after the sudden departure of our beloved Mother of Orphans, Iman Jasim (Al-Qaisi), “Um Omar” in 2019. She dedicated her life to stepping up for those who were oppressed, but focused mostly on orphans. Not only did she rally the community to gather donations, but she also created very unique products to benefit donors in this life (for learning and spiritual growth) and the Hereafter (all proceeds are donated to orphans). Genius!

She reminded people of the importance of not only sponsoring orphans but also caring for their well-being. Um Omar may have begun the movement as one person, but with consistency and dedication, she inspired a global village of donors, doers, action-takers, and orphans, all looking for ways to help and support each other in this dunya to ultimately gain the reward of the Hereafter, insha’Allah.

The Prophet Muhammad (s) said, "Whoever caresses the head of an orphan (in affection), solely for the sake of Allah, a good deed will be written to his account for every hair over which he passed his hand." [Sahih Bukhari]
