For many years now, Muslims have built mosques in America while importing leadership and scholarship from overseas, but this approach is no longer a viable option.
Boston Islamic Seminary aims to train the next generation of Muslim-American religious leaders and needs your help!
Contribute this month to cover our second year of operations and to develop our Graduate Program.
Our goal is to develop leaders that are deeply rooted in the Islamic scholarly tradition as well as the complex cultural, political and social context of 21st century America.
Our leaders will also be equipped with the skills needed to serve the unique challenges of the American society.
Imagine having national leaders like Nouman Ali Khan, Omar Suleiman, and Yasir Qadhi in every mosque, MSA, and neighborhood!!

The Seminary is developing two distinct programs:
1. The Continuing Education Program (launched in 2016) is available to everyone, Muslim and non-Muslim.
2. The Graduate Program (2019 launch Insha'Allah) is an accredited, full-time, multi-year program intended to graduate Religious Leaders, Imams, and Chaplains.
After launching our Continuing Education Program in the Fall of 2016, we doubled our enrollment in the following semester!
This semester, we look forward to launching a new Certificate Program in Islamic Intellectual History and are excited to begin online classes in 2018.
We are also in the process of finalizing the curriculum for our Graduate Program and are gaining support for our project from national leaders including Dr. Tariq Ramadan (who is now a member of our Board of Directors), Imam Zaid Shakir, Sheikh Yasir Qadhi, Muzzamil Siddiqui, Jamal Badawi, and many others.
