Build your First Masjid in the South Lake District, England. Areas of outstanding and mesmerising beauty can no longer be without a place of worship. After a challenging 2022, we have finally obtained full planning permission as referenced by Lancslive, the BBC and the Westmoorland Gazette, Alhamdulillaah!!

We are in a dire state of need, firstly before Allaah, as it is a communal obligation to establish a Masjid especially considering there are families here thirsty to develop a connection. We need to fundraise urgently, due to a hike in prices post-pandemic, so that the project may be completed in one piece.

Up until September 2019, the community was reasonably content for a decade with a Hospital Accommodation site where we gathered for our daily prayers, taraweeh, Eid gatherings and various other religious functions. This was taken away from the community, for a space within the Hospital, not as accessible to the community due to this being within the hospital.  All the donations, that is 100% of them, will be used towards this project to establish the first masjid here and develop a community. All the trustees and committee are volunteers.

Fundraise for SLIC - a high-impact Sadaqah Jaariyah project

We need 1000 brothers or sisters to start a campaign, with a target of £500 or £1000 to help us meet the urgent need. By starting a campaign on this page, you will be a friend and ambassador of the first masjid in south lake district. All you have to do is create an account with launchgood, then press start a campaign, and put your target as a minimum of whichever amount you are comfortable with (500, 1000).

The key to a campaign is to get everyone involved and spread it to your local community to raise this target, raising awareness about this valuable project at the same time. This means sending personal messages to friends, families and groups, especially during Ramadan, so that they may be involved in this chain of good-deed and sadaqah jariyah.

If we all join hands and do this, before long, we will have the following beautiful Masjid in this area, and a thriving muslim community. Should you visit the lake district, you will find this Masjid a welcoming place for you inshaAllaah.
