Your Muslim brethren and children are in dire need. We have no Masjid for 50 miles. Guarantee a home in Jannah by helping us build this Masjid inshaAllah.
South Lakes 240km Charity ride
Your donation will help build the first masjid in the south lake district, where there is no dedicated Masjid. Imagine being a part of this wonderful effort. We are cycling 240km with an intention to help raise at least £10,000! We pray that you will recognise this small sacrifice, and it will lead you to spread this project and encourage everyone to donate. In the end, it is to raise Allaah's name, in a land where its beauty already points towards Him.
As-salaamu Alaykum,
We believe that all Muslims should have a place to pray and develop their community, so we are cycling from Preston to South Lake District as a way of showing our support, raising awareness and seeking funds.
The community in south lake district is growing but the closest masjid is in Lancaster (50 miles away). They have no place to nurture their children's identity through a Masjid or Madrasa. They don't even have ghusl, shrouding or janaza facilities. We are working together help to establish this for the benefit of our young and old, brothers and sisters, residents and tourists.
Inshaallah when you spread our page, and send it to all your contacts and groups, and put it on your whatsapp status, and ask others to do the same, you are actively contributing to the First Masjid being built. For every person who prays and is benefited by this facility, you have a share in it inshaallaah!

Lake District Masjid Project - An Update in the Last few Nights and Days of Ramadan
As Salaam alaikum Dear donor,
Hope you are well and that you have had a fruitful Ramadan so far in sha Allah.
As you generously donated to the project, it is our duty to update you on the progress.
The road has been long, with bureaucracy and politics for establishing the first Masjid in the Lake District; but Alhamdulillah full planning permission has been granted after to- and fro- negotiations with National Rail over a shared boundary.
Due to inflation in costs, whereas earlier we had secured 66% funding, now it is down to 46% 😞
But Allah is Al-Fattah, and He alone will open ways in sha Allah

Alhamdulillah with your duas and the help of Allah Almighty, the Cycle4SLIC team of 12 riders successfully completed our mammoth 240km challenge from Preston to Lakes and back, last weekend 25th/26th September 2021.
We thank every well wisher, donor and those who merely intended to donate. We pray Allah Almighty grants us all goodness and prosperity in both worlds with ‘aafiyah. May Allah reward us with his pleasure and take this project to build his house in the beautiful surroundings of The Lake District to completion, with ease.
Some facts have been listed below to understand the enormity of our challenge:
Cyclists had 5 support members in 2 vehicles to assist in preparations and emergencies throughout challenge / 1 drone to capture progress and lifelong memories / 5 weeks of training rides / Nearly 100,000 calories burnt / Nearly 2900km covered / 50+ litres of fluid consumed / 15kg bbq meat and 50 cups of tea consumed / 2 bike failures, 2 punctures, 2 falls and 12 tired minds!
More so, an amazing £92k+ has now been raised!
In 2022 the community of South Lakes would like to start the build and this would be a huge help to the muslims there who have no access to a masjid within 50 miles.
