raised of £30,000 GBP goal
Alhamdulillah, we have secured the premises. Now we need your help to turn them into a thriving youth centre.
Elite Youth Centre CIC has secured approximately 4,000 sq ft of premises in Leicester to establish a dedicated youth and community centre.
Our aim is to create a safe, positive and purposeful environment where young people can develop through Islamic tarbiyyah, education, mentoring, physical activity, practical skills and beneficial social activities.
Alhamdulillah:
The organisation is established.
The premises are secured.
Preparation work has begun.
The main flooring has been arranged.
We are now raising £30,000 to help complete the centre, equip it properly and provide a strong foundation for its opening months.
Young people need more than occasional classes and activities.
They need somewhere they can belong.
A place where they can build good friendships, spend their free time positively, develop confidence, learn useful skills, keep physically active and benefit from good role models.
For Muslim young people in particular, we want to provide an environment in which Islamic values and character development are naturally woven into everyday activities.
The aim is not simply to create another classroom.
We want Elite Youth Centre to become a space where young people can grow intellectually, physically, socially and spiritually.
The premises give us the flexibility to develop a wide range of programmes, in shā’ Allāh, including:
The centre will also provide a space from which new programmes can develop according to the needs of the community.
One of the biggest hurdles has already been overcome.
We have secured a substantial first-floor premises of approximately 4,000 sq ft, with a large open-plan activity area, additional rooms, kitchen and toilet facilities.
The space has already been cleared and prepared for the next stage of work.
Commercial vinyl flooring for the main area has been arranged at a cost of approximately £5,200, and further work is being carried out to prepare the remaining areas.
The photographs on this page show the actual premises as we began transforming them.
Your donation is therefore not funding a project that may one day happen.
The centre is already becoming a reality.
Opening a centre of this size requires considerable initial investment.
Funds raised will help towards essential costs including:
Our current setup costs extend beyond any single item. The £30,000 target will allow us to bring these different elements together and open the centre on a solid footing.
Where possible, we are reducing costs through volunteering, careful purchasing and sourcing good-value equipment.
This fundraising campaign is intended to help us overcome the difficult initial setup stage.
Our long-term aim is not to depend permanently upon donations.
Once established, we intend to build a sustainable model through a combination of:
The initial funding gives us the breathing space to establish the centre properly and develop these activities without compromising the quality of the project.
Elite Youth Centre is a registered Community Interest Company (CIC) established to benefit young people and the wider community.
The project is led by Ustadh Qasim Musa, founder of As-Safwah Institute, with around two decades of experience in teaching, Islamic education, youth work, imāmah and community initiatives.
Through years of working with children, teenagers, families and adult learners, we have seen the importance of giving young people not only classes, but also spaces, relationships, activities and positive environments in which good character can develop.
Elite Youth Centre is being established to help provide exactly that.
Every contribution moves us closer to opening.
£20 helps towards the many smaller items needed throughout the centre.
£50 contributes towards furniture, equipment and facilities.
£100 can make a meaningful contribution towards preparing and equipping the building.
£250 can help fund a substantial part of one area of the setup.
£500 or £1,000 can make a major difference towards the larger costs involved in getting the centre ready.
And larger contributions can help us complete entire elements of the project.
Whatever you are able to give, it becomes part of building something from which young people can benefit for years to come.
You can still help enormously.
Please share this campaign.
Send it directly to family, friends, colleagues and anyone who may want to support positive youth provision.
A single share may reach someone able to make a significant contribution.
This campaign is not being presented as Zakāh eligible.
Please donate from general ṣadaqah or other voluntary charitable funds.
Alhamdulillah, we have reached the stage where the vision is becoming something physical.
We have the premises.
We have begun the work.
We have people willing to give their time.
Now we need the financial support to complete the transformation.
Our goal is not simply to renovate a building.
It is to establish a place where, in shā’ Allāh, young people can learn, develop, build friendships, strengthen their character and grow up with a stronger connection to their faith and community.
Please donate whatever you can and share the campaign widely.
Together, we can help build something that continues benefiting young people and families for many years to come.
May Allah place barakah in every donation, every hour volunteered and every person who helps bring Elite Youth Centre to life.
