​FINANCIAL NEEDED TO FUND MANDIBULAR DISTRACTION COSTS

Assalamualaikum and good day. Im Syazwan, Umar's father. Umar had been diagnosed with Treacher-Collins Syndrome and has been warded since born. He was born on 6 Sep 20 and has breathing difficulties that needed oxygen ventilator to support him. 

He has cleft palate and small jaw which caused him to breathe using ventilator.

He had undergone tracheostomy procedure on 13 Oct 20 in order to help him breathe. Now, he is breathing through trachy tube attached to his neck. This procedure caused him to lose his voice and the trachy tube needs to be replaced every 2 weeks. 

next step, the doctors are planning to execute mandibular distraction (jaw distraction) ASAP after tracheostomy wound recovered. this procedure had to be done to help him breathe normally and enable him to speak afterwards. 

We needed around RM 20k in order to facilitate the jaw distraction operation.

Assalamualaikum dan salam sejahtera. Saya Syazwan, ayah Umar. Umar telah didiagnosis dengan Treacher-Collins Syndrome dan telah dimasukkan ke NICU sejak dilahirkan. Dia dilahirkan pada 6 Sep 20 dan mengalami kesukaran bernafas yang memerlukan bantuan oksigen untuk membantu dia bernafas.

Dia mempunyai sumbing lelangit dan rahang kecil yang menyebabkannya perlu bernafas menggunakan bantuan oksigen.

Dia telah menjalani prosedur trakeostomi (tebuk leher) pada 13 Oktober 20 untuk membantunya bernafas. Sekarang, dia bernafas melalui tiub yang dipasang di lehernya. Prosedur ini menyebabkan dia kehilangan suara dan tiub tersebut perlu diganti setiap 2 minggu.

langkah seterusnya, doktor merancang untuk melakukan pembedahan jaw distraction secepat mungkin setelah luka trakeostomi pulih. prosedur ini harus dilakukan untuk membantunya bernafas secara normal dan membolehkannya bercakap selepas itu.

Kami memerlukan sekitar RM 20k untuk membeli peralatan untuk pembedahan tersebut.
