Urdu is fading away 

• Our kids are over exposed to English and under exposed to Urdu ✅
• It is becoming harder to encourage Urdu at home ✅
• Resources are difficult to find and not designed for kids or parents living in the West ✅

Kids Bolo wants to help. Our mission is to encourage spoken Urdu through products that kids want to use themselves! 

Kids Bolo is launching PRE-ORDERS for a set of 9 Urdu-English books and an innovative talking pen that makes our books come alive! Your support of this campaign will allow us to launch even more innovative offerings to help make learning Urdu easy, fun and engaging!

We are Masooma and Hamid, Pakistani-Canadians who immigrated to Toronto in our early teens. While we grew up in Urdu speaking households, we ended up speaking to each other mostly in English. It wasn’t until we had kids that the realization hit - Urdu was going to fade away if something did not change. 

Just like you…

• We knew there are many benefits to making our kids bilingual 
• We knew that Urdu connects us to our identity and community 
• We knew that we wanted our kids to at least have a foundation
• And we KNEW that we needed to keep Urdu alive

But YET, it was HARD. As parents whose children were born in the West, we felt our choice of relevant resources was limited. So we created them ourselves.

Most of our kids view Urdu as their second language, not their first language. Our products are designed to reflect this.

The books and pens are already manufactured and tested.  We expect them to be loaded on ships soon and be on their way! 

We expect to receive them in late April or early May, inshAllah and start shipping them out to you. 

Please note that although we anticipate having the books before Eid Al-Fitr, we cannot guarantee delivery before then due to supply chain uncertainties.

1. Why should I pre-order instead of waiting?
   • Pre-order prices are guaranteed to be our lowest this year!
   • Some of these offers (E.g. 2x Full Sets) may not be available after the campaign
   • While we cannot guarantee delivery by Eid-Al-Fitr, purchasing during this pre-order campaign maximizes your chance of receiving it before then
   • Your support now will allow us to work on more innovative and fun resources to help your children with Urdu!
2. When will I receive the products?
   • Our best guess at this stage is late April but this could get further delayed to early May
   • The products are ready and will be boarded on a ship soon. However, delays can be common when shipping from China and as such, we cannot guarantee a delivery date
3. Where do you ship and how much does it cost?
   • Shipping to Canada, US and the UK is FREE!
   • Shipping to other European countries is $10 USD
   • We currently do NOT ship to other countries, however, we can arrange shipping globally for wholesale orders (25+ Full Sets). Please email us at launch@kidsbolo.com to discuss further
4. Will I have to pay additional taxes and duties?
   • Canada – HST is already included in the price. No additional duties.
   • US – No additional taxes or duties
   • UK – VAT is already included in the price. No additional duties.
   • Other countries – while we do not expect any additional taxes or duties, we cannot guarantee this. Please note that you will be responsible for any additional taxes or duties incurred.
5. Will you ever ship orders to my country?

6. Can I purchase the pen or individual books separately?
   • Not as a pre-order, unfortunately. We will open up sales of individual products in May. The Bolo Pen will retail for $50 USD and the individual books will be sold for $15 USD each
7. What age are these products for?
   • It really depends! We created the resources keeping 3-8 year olds in mind. However, our own 2 year old loves the books and is very comfortable with the Bolo Pen. We also tested the books with older kids and got very positive feedback
   • Our primary focus has been to help kids (and parents) that consider Urdu a second language and are beginners, so ages can vary!

9. What future books are you working on?
   • We have already started on our next 6 books! We will share details in the future, but we want to tackle topics such as talking to grandparents and showing our kids a glimpse of back home, while also creating fun and engaging content!
10. How will the pen work with future books?
    • The pen is future proof! It can be updated following very simple directions (the same process as copying a file onto a USB drive). We will share details with customers when we have future updates!
11. Which currency are these prices in?
    • All prices listed on Launchgood are in US dollars
    • Please note - these prices include HST for Canadians and VAT for UK customers
