As we approach the final days of Ramadan, we want to remind you of the importance of giving generously during this blessed month. One organization that has had a tremendous impact on our community is the Muslim American Society (MAS) Youth Center in Dallas. MAS is not just a place of worship, but a center that caters to the needs of the community, especially the youth.

Both my sons, who are young adults, found their second home at MAS during their sensitive and impressionable teenage years. It was the place where they felt welcomed, celebrated, and respected. It was the place where they learned the importance of giving back and developing leadership skills. Alhamdulillah.

MAS is a source of guidance and support for families in the DFW area. Now more than ever, we have to help strengthen our children and teens' Islamic identity and teach them to become the leaders of the next generation, and help them build the internal moral compass that will keep them resilient when they are most vulnerable to going astray. With its youth-centered programs and welcoming environment, MAS is a place where our youth can learn, grow, and thrive.

The MAS Youth Center is the place to be to build strong youth - strong in body, mind, and soul.  We hold regular activities to keep everyone physically strong (from hiking to swimming), mentally strong (from weekly teen talks to workshops on developing youth), and spiritually strong (from study circles to weekly night prayers or qiyam).  We can't do any of these without the support of generous people like yourself. 
 

I have seen firsthand how MAS has transformed the lives of many young Muslims in the Dallas area. It has provided them with a safe and nurturing environment where they can learn, grow, and thrive. In my practice, I see families suffer every day with problems with their children from their Islamic Identity, dealing with the massive wave of liberal ideas and grappling with swimming against the wave in society.

And now, as we approach the end of Ramadan, I urge you to consider donating to MAS's youth center in Dallas.
