Nizamiyya is non-profit international program in it's third year aiming to disrupt the challenges of Islamic Schools worldwide. Last year Nizamiyya had 70+ students and currently has 125+ students.

Nizamiyya was launched in September 2022 by a team from Harvard, MIT, and UC Berkeley and students of some of the top scholars of our Ummah. Imagine an Islamic Seminary with a hifz and Arabic program. Imagine an elite academic program with STEM, robotics and competitive sports. Imagine a school that focuses on the soul, mind, and body. Help build it, scale it in the east and west 🚀

The goal is to incubate an Islamic school model where seminary, academics, and competitive sports are delivered with Ihsan to prepare the next generation of leaders. 

Our goal is to produce highly knowledgeable students who are not only prepared to pursue further studies at seminaries but also equipped to attend top-tier universities across the globe and contribute positively to society.

Why incubate in Istanbul? 

With a large ex-pat community from the U.S. and the UK and a lower cost of living/wages, we were able to hire highly qualified teachers, researchers, and religious teachers with ijazas (licenses to teach). Once the Nizamiyya model is perfected, we aim to scale, establish, and partner with existing Islamic Schools worldwide.

We also recognize that the Ummah’s schools are in desperate need for resources that ground students in the Islamic worldview while also building character and discipline of the mind, body, and soul.

In addition to crafting resources to support existing curricula for math, science, and the language arts, our research team of specialists in education, science, and philosophy are also traditionally trained in the Islamic sciences by our Umma’s top scholars to redefine the standards of education.  Our advisors are from Harvard, MIT, and UC Berkeley.
