Our children know Spider-Man's origin story better than they know al-Hurr's. That is not their fault. Nobody told it to them on screen.
Allah says: "Whatever We relate to you of the accounts of the messengers are those by which We strengthen your heart, and there has come to you in this the truth and an advice and admonition for the faithful." (Surah Hud, 11:120, Al-Mizan translation)
Allamah Tabatabai, explaining this verse in Al-Mizan, writes that the purpose of these narratives is "to fortify his heart and dispel any anxieties and worries he may have harboured."
He sums the verse up like this: "The accounts of these messengers are conveyed to you so as to solidify your heart and to anchor your determination in the path of advocating truth, tearing out the roots of corruption, and enduring persecution at the hands of your people." And for everyone after the Prophet, he adds, "the stories and lessons therein serve as an admonition from which they can draw moral lessons."
Stories were how Allah (swt) steadied His own Prophet. Our children are being steadied by stories too, right now. The question is whose.

A child today grows up on Marvel, Disney and anime. The production is extraordinary, the storytelling is relentless, and the heroes are unforgettable. Then they look for the people they are actually supposed to look up to, the Prophet's family, peace be upon them, and they find lectures, slideshows and talking heads. Almost nothing made with the craft that holds a teenager's attention for five minutes.
So the Imams and the Prophets stay abstract, historical and distant. Meanwhile, a fictional man in a red suit feels real to them.
That is a production gap, not a faith gap. And production gaps can be closed.
We tell these stories through film, with the seriousness they deserve. The style follows the story: some are animated, some are cinematic dramas, some are short series built for the platforms young people are already on. What stays the same is the care. Every script is researched against classical Shia sources and checked line by line. We never depict the Prophet (s) or the Imams (as). Where they appear, their faces are covered. The dignity of these figures is the first constraint.
We released The Free Man, the story of al-Hurr ibn Yazid, the commander who rode out to stop Imam Husayn, peace be upon him, and turned his horse around on the morning of Ashura knowing what it would cost him. Parents watched it with their children. One mother wrote the next day asking how she could support it, because she had spent years looking for something like this and found nothing. That response is why this campaign exists.

This funds the studio itself: the films, the people who make them, and the tools that get them to the standard they deserve.
$10 funds a single shot
$25 funds a scene
$50 funds a minute of finished film
$100 funds the research and script behind a film
$500 funds a complete short film
$1,000 funds a series
We are raising $50,000 CAD to run DeenWell for a year: production, compute at the resolution these films deserve, voice and audio, and the first contractors so this stops depending on one person's available hours (Kyan).
Films come out as they are finished, to the standard, not to a deadline. We would rather release one that lasts than four that do not.
The films will be available on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and inside the DeenWell app. The point is that the child who needs it can reach it.
You are not funding a video. You are funding a Shia studio built for how this generation actually watches, so the next child who searches for Imam Husayn (as) finds something made with as much care as the films they already love. Every dollar becomes a scene. Every scene becomes a story a child remembers.
