Orphans in Need Sadaqah Jariyah

The authority of Abu Hurairah (ra) that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said, ‘When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah (a continuous charity), or knowledge from which benefit is gained, or a righteous child who prays for him’. (Muslim)

We work to help ease the struggles orphans face by providing sustainable solutions like access to education, medical care and food, which are all just the basic necessities we are all entitled to. There are many orphans that need our support and we can make that happen today.

Right now, there is an orphan child who will be made to work instead of going to school. ​

Bathur was just four years old when her father died and her mother abandoned her. Her grandparents took Bathur in but they were too ill and old to look after her. Instead of going to school, Bathur walked five kilometres every day to work in a brick factory. Imagine a child’s hand struggling to carry four bricks.

If Bathur hadn’t been sponsored, she would have been stuck in that factory or even worse, she may have been dead. Bathur is now attending school. Her sponsorship has given her more than just the basics, it’s given her hope for a better future.
