In view of the humanitarian crisis that the International Islamic community is facing and the lack of an organized economical support system for those in need, which would bolster the consecutive relief campaigns with preventive solutions, Omran Platform decided ‒ in the face of humanitarian, health , and educational challenges ‒ to launch an initiative to support a number of distinguished youth’s projects who belong to the aforementioned afflicted groups, starting from twenty projects concerned with displaced Syrians and Yamanis war refugees.

Relief works give them a lifeboat. We give them safe ground !

What is the purpose of this campaign?

It is no secret that there are many respectable charity organizations that manage donations, and relief campaigns, but that is surly not enough, since that aid is but a temporary solution to the overall issue due to its local and limited effect.

So, if we support such relief work by establishing projects on a sound scientific and economical basis that ensures risk reduction and success, if we established such projects for the afflicted groups and thus put preventive measures and an economical protection in place which would make them self-sufficient, thus having the means to take care of themselves and provide them with the foundations of sustainable immunity, we will have achieved the balance and integration for a better tomorrow.

But who are we?

We are a modern, social project founded by a group of young volunteers from across the globe to educate the nation through three major axes:

    • Academic training in various fields of modern science, such as projects, communication, marketing, and strategy. We provided training for more than 10 thousand members free of charge as Omran is a non-profit project.

    • Cultural Renewal through blogs and intellectual discussions regarding current topics.

    • Startups Platform which is concerned with the support of emerging projects throughout the various stages of their development like current group of 20 projects we have been supporting for almost a year. 

How does this startups platform work?

This platform, as a project caretaker, gained sufficient experience and proved through its tangible and free achievements its success in the selection of projects according to two methods: The seriousness of the project founder, the uniqueness of the idea, and the return benefit to the group.

What are the achievements of this platform?

Since its launch, and thanks to the efforts of a group of volunteers, whom soon increased in number, it was able to bring together more than a thousand projects to young Muslims spread across more than fifty nations across the globe. This platform selected twenty projects it supported through their development stages, some of which were launched in reality, and some managed to get the necessary funding through our effort and the trust of investors. In addition to accompanying, we are providing advisory support for more than 500 projects in various countries of the Islamic world

Why was this timing selected?

We are in a critical global health situation in which the world is facing an exceptional pandemic, on top of that our brothers and sisters are facing war, displacement, famine, and destruction.

This particular situation places us in a moral and religious obligation and gives us full legitimacy to take the initiative and implement radical solutions hand in hand with our afflicted brothers and sisters.

What is needed?

We ask all serious, zealous, individual financial support in order to increase the capacity of the platform and update its mechanisms and capabilities so that we can achieve this strategic part of our plan.

         We need 80,000 USD in order to meet the needs of the platform during the support period which is estimated at three years:

    • 20,000 USD for platform development, and other technical needs for communication, storage, and training.

    • 18,000 USD for legal studies and lawyer fees especially for refugees procedures.

    • 30,000 USD for the marketing strategy expenses which costs more than 60,000 USD (around 1000 USD a year per project).

    • 12,000 USD expenses for providing free courses and for participation in international events to support the projects.

Who ensures the success of the projects?

The role that this project platform plays is that of the missing link that guarantees the effectiveness of financial assets and investing them faithfully and wisely in the short, medium, and long term for the benefit of our downtrodden brothers and sisters whose ordeal has prolonged and their condition has only worsened. So, instead of giving them a fish, let us teach them how to fish and provide them with the necessary means.
