The need right now in Gaza

The past few weeks have seen Covid-19 cases in Gaza escalate at the highest rate yet 📈

Due to the ongoing conflict and blockade, Gaza’s health system is under severe pressure with shocking shortages of medical supplies and equipment.

Nearly all of Gaza’s 100 ventilators are in use by COVID-19 patients, while health care workers lack access to basic PPE, including surgical masks, face shields, and N95 respirators.

With the pandemic, this makes it extremely hard for healthcare workers to stay protected while serving the needs of a very vulnerable population.

⫸$10 can provide a Face Shield

Face shields are critical medical devices used to protect individuals’ eyes, nose and face from transmission via droplets.

Glia’s open-source face shield is used to protect users from droplet exposure, and can be created with a 3D printer and basic supplies.

⫸$40 can provide a Respirator

Respirators protect from exposure to airborne particles. In healthcare, respirators protect from exposure to biological aerosols including viruses and bacteria. They are designed to seal tight to the face of the wearer.

Glia’s innovative respirators are reusable, can be disinfected regularly, and eco-friendly. Through 3D printing technology, equipment will be printed directly in Gaza for quickest delivery and protection against Covid-19.
