What's the Issue? 

There are 780 million people living without clean drinking water. In parts of Africa and Asia, people have to walk up to five miles to get clean water for their village. Women in Africa and Asia walk 4 miles to get the same amount of water that Americans use in two minutes on average in a shower. The clean water crisis is one of the most pressing issues of our lifetime. Through this campaign, we hope to help tackle the crisis directly.

Water is a blessing we often take for granted in developed countries. In developing communities, water is needed for crops, to feed livestock, to cook and prevent disease from spreading. Climate change and Covid-19 is increasing the demand of the limited water availability. This is why significant aid efforts must be implemented without delay. This campaign ensures everlasting water for the people who are struggling the most to find it. 

Providing water to communities without access is essential to empowering them. Communities that lack access to water spend the early hours of the day to carry heavy loads back to their homes. At most times that burden falls on the women and children. If you believe in empowering women and children globally, this is where we need to begin. Imagine you beginning everyday with the task of having to spending hours of seeking just water to bring back to your family. 

Building a well in a community allows someone an everlasting source to water and allows them to make more time for education, employment, sanitation and significantly improves their way of life. A hand pump is a temporary solution but a deep water well grants a sustainable source for many.  Imagine being apart of the reason that people get to drink clean water, bathe, and bring a sustainable living too. Any contribution is a step closer to providing a soul with something that nobody should ever be without.

How much does it cost to help bring clean water? 

There are various ways you can help bring clean water to these areas. Here are just a few options:

Purchase a Hand pump: $425 - Beneficiaries are given a single-serving hand pump in their village!

Purchase a Water Well ($2000 - $6000) - Deep water wells are a great source of clean water in any village that allow for larger amounts of clean water at one given time.

Solar Water Power Center ($25,000) - Solar Water Power Centers are the best means for hundreds of villagers to get clean water through the power of the sun!
