Salam and Hello Everyone!

Today I am asking you all to join me in raising money this Ramadan for Friends of the Blinds Association in Ramallah Palestine.

WHAT AM I RAISING MONEY FOR?

Friends of The Blinds Association is part if the Penny Appeal USA's Education First Program. In Palestine there are visually impaired, blind, deaf and children with disabilities. They aren't granted the same education as other children their age and are rejected from schools. Some of them that do go to average schools aren't given the correct education that they need and are bullied sometimes. FBA has an amazing facility that I was able to visit in Ramallah, Palestine this March with Penny Appeal USA.

It's a beautiful campus that has all the tools and resources needed to help them excel in education and also in life. It blew me away how smart these children were. Once you lose one of your senses the others become more prominent. Grades 1- 10 which are ages 5-16, will be the one getting sponsored in this program. The children read Braille Quran that is made in house. They made 14,000 books of Braille in this facility. They have a computer lab that the children excel in. They could dance, play the piano, read amazing Arabic and English all while having the biggest smiles on their face.

WHAT WILL SPONSORING A STUDENT DO?

School registration fees
Preparing and printing (65) Braille writing-reading curricula packages
Part of the stationery materials, food, clothing, medical and transportation.
Part of the accommodation cost for 38 blind and poor eyesight disabled pupils.
Special "Quran Hifiz and reciting" sessions using Braille writing-ready system

Yearly Costs Per Student:

Cover a registration fee: $150

Cover a student's expenses: $400

Accommodate a student: $450

Provide a student's curricula: $700
