Alhamdulillah in April 2017 the Hills District Muslim Society in Australia has committed to purchasing a Masjid Property centrally located in the Hills District suburb of Glenhaven.

• 5 acres in Glenhaven.
• Great size for onsite parking and future growth.
• Centrally located.
• Zoned to allow for a place of worship/community centre.
• Purchase price AUD $3.8 million + stamp duty. (AUD $1.3 million already raised over the past few years)
• 10% deposit paid in April 2017.
• We need to raise AUD $2.7 million to complete the purchase InshaAllah.

A Little Bit About Our Beautiful Community

HDMS is a non-profit organisation established by dedicated Australian Muslims striving to serve our growing community in the North-West District of Sydney, Australia. Our members comprise of culturally diverse Sunni Muslims who live &/or work in the Hills District of Sydney.

One of the main concerns with current accommodations is there is not enough room for prayer in the men and women sections and therefore is not sustainable in the very near future as the community continues to grow.

Spiritual and Physical Activities for the Youth: In addition to holding prayers five times daily in its current space, HDMS also organises Quran and Islamic studies for all ages and monthly community lectures. Sporting events and leisure activities are also a part of HMDS's program for the youth.

Ramadan Program: During the month of Ramadan HDMS organises Iftar (meal to break the fast) and Taraweeh in order to bring the community together to share in collectively breaking the fast and standing in prayer together at night.

Eid Celebration: HDMS always aims to make sure the Eid gathering is especially remarkable for the children by offering a variety of treats and activities such as face painting and games, and balloon art.

How You Can Help

Our Muslim community has been looking for a suitable place to build the Masjid for 12 years now. The real-estate increasing prices in Sydney has always been a significant challenge to overcome. Now we have this opportunity that we do not want to miss, we've already paid 10% deposit, donated by the community members.
