Importance of the App

The app will be targeted towards busy Muslims who can do these tasks during commute or just by committing 5-10 minutes daily for a specified task. These can include just reading translation of the Quran, a small Hadith with relevant context, memorizing part of the Quran, doing zikr, or other small but consistent deeds.

I am already working on the 5 minute videos for learning Quran(see that here), the app would incorporate all of that too.

An Objective Oriented Muslim Journal

A journal and a planner for people to set goals and have checklists.

There is a user profile, name, age, gender and other basic information; also a functionality if the user wants to hide the information or show it to other users.

What is the set-up of the App?  It will be set in two ways:

• Objective oriented: users choose a predefined goal such as memorize Surah Ya-seen, Understand Surah Al-Mulk or even Read Fajr on time. The next steps would be making the habits, small amounts of time invested but everyday.
• The planner and journal will be monthly: the entries that user does will be there on the homepage for one month and when the next month starts, the previous entries will be archived or stored somewhere but still accessible for the user.

The user can see an overview of a week, or a month in advance, plan every day with hours, the prayer timings will be given according to Google.

Main homepage of the user will contain several sections: 

• A journal, where the user can click and add entries like a normal diary journal.
• Goal tracker or something like that, the goals that the user have set for the month
• A daily checklist containing the prayers and the reciting and other daily stuff.
• I want to be able to add alerts also, like if it's a Friday, there will be special alerts on what to that day.
• A forum where the users can interact with each other.

This will all be based on location of the user, if the user is based in US, I want that relevant day to be visible to him.

My main thought was to make a Ramadan Planner only but that will also be incorporated into this, and we will have special graphics and a recommendations list for everyday.

I am open to more ideas to incorporate in the app and would send the donors report, every 3 months, on how much has been done with the app.
