Ramadan Iftar
With Ramadan around the corner, the Islamic Center of Davis has started their Ramadan Iftar Sponsorship Sign Ups. They encourage all community members to attend these iftars and usually have over 250 members come where they can share the joy of breaking their fast with their brothers and sisters during this blessed month.



Iftar Sponsorship Cost
This year they will be planning to host 200 people during the weekday, however, during weekends we will plan to host 250 people. As such, the cost of sponsorship will depend on the day we choose and I believe it would be nice to hopefully reach enough money to host the 250 people. This Ramadan they will contract exclusively with Crest Cafe in Sacramento for the catering.

To sponsor an iftar night during Ramadan, their are two option we can choose from:

Option 1: Host 200 People
The cost to sponsor a night of iftar during the weekday will be $1,400 total; $1,200 for the catered food, and $200 for the supplies, setup, and cleaning. Supplies include milk, dates, plates, cups, and spoons.

Option 2: Host 250 People
The cost to sponsor a night of iftar during the weekend will be $1,700 total; $1,500 for the catered food, and $200 for the supplies, setup, and cleaning. Supplies include milk, dates, plates, cups, and spoons.

Jazkallah khair for reading about this fundraiser. InshAllah I hope we can all give even a little bit to gain the reward of feeding another person during the blessed month of Ramadan. And if we can't afford it, may we get the reward of feeding each person by just sharing this fundraiser to others.

Iftar Date Confirmed!

Assalamu Alaykum,

It is with great pleasure to announce that we will be sponsoring the Iftar on Wednesday, June 6th at the Islamic Center of Davis inshAllah. I hope to see you all here! Jazkallah khair again for all of your contributions.

PS: Since we were not able to raise enough money to sponsor a second iftar, I will ask the masjid to take what we made and use that money towards a fund to host another Iftar inshAllah
