Trying to correct the misconception of Islamic teachings and principles through organizing events, lectures, seminars, and Islamic competitions in Ghana.

Islamic Ummah Of Ghana (IUG).

Islamic Ummah of Ghana is a registered non-profit organization that was established to promote an Islamic way of life among the younger generation and Muslim community in Ghana. We Organize free events for our Ummah in Ghana.

Our vision is to unify the ummah in Ghana and contribute to the betterment of the Muslim community and also to become one of the largest Islamic organizations.

Our Mission is to promote the development of the Muslim community and better understanding of Islam.

The first program we organized was the Ghana Islamic Tournament also known as GIT. The aim of this program was to make the Muslim youth appreciate the need to imbibe the tenets of Islam and the Holy Quran into their everyday lives and to further make them participate effectively in such activities with the view of enabling them to enhance their knowledge in Islam.

In october 2016 , the Islamic Ummah of Ghana through its effort in promoting the development of the Muslim communities in Ghana brought one of the world’s renowned scholars to Ghana.

This renowned scholar by name Mufti Ismail Menk from Zimbabwe is a known public figure worldwide and his preachings has impacted positively on many lives in the world.
He had his da’wah in Accra and Kumasi which attracted so many people across the country.

The 2017 dawah tour also involved two renowned scholars Mufti Ismail Menk and Dr Mohammed Salah exposed over 30,000 Ghanaian Muslims to the contemporary knowledge of Islamic studies.

CHALLENGES FACED BY ORGANIZERS

Alhmadulilah, even though we have had successful programs throught these past 4years we find it difficult to garner sufficient and continuous funding for our work. Gaining access to appropriate donors is a major component of this challenge.

Non-Govermental Organizations (NGOs) for a long time have relied on the generosity of donors to support their project activities through grants and donations. However, organizations have realized that such funding sources are often insufficient to meet needs and rising costs for project implementation. In Ghana for example, there are vast differences among the NGOs but most share a common challenge of unlimited needs chasing limited resources.Local NGO's face difficulties securing enough funds because the projects undertaken require substantial amount of resources; both financial and non-financial due to high financial crisis in most parts of the country.
