SUPPORT THE WELL-BEING AND HEALING OF BLACK MUSLIM YOUNG ADULTS!

​In this sociopolitical climate, Black Muslim young adults are coping with the daily reality of anti-Black racism and violence in broader American society as well as marginalization and racial discrimination within the faith community. Black Muslim young adults are amazingly resilient AND deserve our proactive and unwavering support as they navigate these challenges. 

Muslim Wellness Foundation is providing this much needed support through the Deeply Rooted Emerging Leaders (DREL) Fellowship. This year long program is the FIRST and ONLY one of its kind in the United States which focuses on the healing and well-being of Black Muslim young adults (18-25). This program centers and leverages their strengths by engaging them in a series of learning opportunities, discussions and experiential activities which challenge them to think about who they are, who they are becoming and their role in improving their communities. Ongoing mentoring is offered to support Fellows' healing and self-discovery process.

ABOUT MUSLIM WELLNESS FOUNDATION (MWF)

Muslim Wellness Foundation (MWF) is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization promoting healing in the American Muslim community through dialogue, education and training. In order to achieve this vision, we have adopted an interdisciplinary, spiritually grounded, community based public health approach which emphasizes the importance of addressing sociocultural stressors (poverty, violence, oppression, anti-Black racism) that lead to diminished wellbeing.  Muslim Wellness Foundation is best positioned to do this work, as our theory of change is holistic, collaborative and inclusive.
