Manzoor Hussain's Story

53-year-old Manzoor Hussain has been diagnosed with hepatitis C. He has been taking treatments for this but due to a lack of adequate healthcare facilities, his disease progressed. Finally, his doctor asked him to consult a specialist, who has advised Manzoor a medication course of three months.

Manzoor doesn’t have any savings to spend on his treatment and he only earns a meager income of 13,000 PKR working as a laborer in a mill. He has 4 children, three of whom are married and live separately. Manzoor lives with his youngest unmarried son, who is also a laborer and partially supports his father. But even their collective income is insufficient to meet the medical costs of the treatment.
