New Zealand Eid Day is a public event organised by the community for the community. This event is an initiative to preserve the identity of Muslim culture across New Zealand. 

This family event aims to bring people from different backgrounds, cultures and national together in a venue. There are about 13,000 attendees from the previous Eid. 

Having operated since 2011, the New Zealand Eid Day Trust is looking for Eid to become a recognised holiday in New Zealand, with Eid being celebrated in all major regions.

The funds collected will be used for venues, sound system, games and entertainment on the day.
