Florida Muslim Community Responds to Stoneman Douglas High School Shooting

The Florida Muslim Community in an effort coordinated by the South Florida Muslim Federation, is launching this Lauchgood fundraising campaign to assist the victims of the Stoneman High School shooting, in Parkland, Florida.
These Florida Muslim community efforts began immediately after the February 14th shooting that resulted in the deaths of 17 people with dozens wounded and hundreds of other young students and adults terrorized. Let us all help assist the victims of the deadliest school shooting in the history of Florida.

Where the Funds Will Go​

All funds raised will be donated to the Stoneman Douglas High School Victims' Fund collected by the Broward County Public Schools - Broward Education Fund. The Broward Education Fund is the only fund to support and help victims and families most affected by the tragic events that unfolded on February 14th.

The South Florida Muslim Federation coordinated these relief efforts with the Council on American-Islamic Relations-Florida, Friends of Humanity Int., COSMOS, EMGAGE, ICNA, Islamic Relief USA, IFSF Food Pantry, UHI Clinic, Muslim Women’s Organization, AMANA, and various other Mosques and Islamic Centers of Florida. All organizations are working collaboratively and centralized communications will be maintained through the website: www.soflomuslims.com/parkland.

The South Florida Muslim Federation, Inc. is a registered non-profit corporation in the State of Florida. In early 2017, representatives from over 40 mosques & organizations across South Florida met in a Town Hall to discuss working together for common interest in a unified platform, (or Federation). A total of nine committees were formed along with a coordinating committee, to develop strategies to address the various needs of the growing South Florida Muslim Community.
