What's the need?
Futures Academy requires growth capital for infrastructure to support further course development and more live online classes.
Futures Academy, South Africa's only accredited online high school, was founded to address the need for affordable access to high quality academic instruction. The Academy's model is based on the Stanford Online High School model that also allows learners the flexibility to explore their talents and interests beyond the classroom.
Futures Academy aims to produce a generation of future-ready learners with the flexibility to navigate a rapidly changing and complex world.
Access for learners in remote and rural areas
Flexible timetable for learners to explore other interests
Designed to develop and support independent learning
Customized curricula allowing for remediation and fast-tracking of grades
The funds will be for technological infrastructure for the online school. In addition, if we meet our target to successfully launch we will also provide 5 scholarships to deserving local students!
