My Initiative: 

Help provide clean and safe water for the people in Pakistan!

Water is essential to life. On average, a person can only survive 3 days without water, and if the water is contaminated and dirty, fatal diseases spread fast and the effects are overwhelming. We are blessed with access to clean water at the turn of a tap but for over a billion people world-wide, thats not the case. Which is why I need your help because together we can help provide water by building wells in communities that don’t have access to safe and clean water. 

Sa’d ibn Ubadah reported: I said, “O Messenger of Allah, my mother has died. Shall I give charity on her behalf?” The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Yes.” I said, “Which charity is best?” The Prophet said, “A drink of water.”

My Story: 

Alhamduillah I’m extremely thankful and blessed to be turning 21 on August 17. Recently I had the opportunity to visit a struggling country and see how some people don’t ever have access to clean and safer water. This was an extremely eye opening experience and it made me question how we live such a luxurious life while others out there struggle for something as simple as a sip of clean water. So, instead of celebrating this year, I wanted to use my birthday as an opportunity to help those that are actually in need in Pakistan. Together, we can all contribute to a great cause and knowing someones life out there has changed because of me is the best gift I could ask for.
