AlhamduAllah we at Lindi Islamic Foundation of Tanzania (LIFT) received a small donation to start construction of new masjid in the village of Mvuleni in the Lindi Rural District of Lindi Region in Tanzania. The population is approximately 5,000. The current masjid is too close to the road and the current masjid is too small to support the village. When the road expands, they will lose the old masjid.
The sister whose land and house were adjacent to the masjid gave part of her land for a new masjid, In return, the village will build her a small house further back on the land.

Even with this outer structure, the community insists it will have Eid prayers in this new masjid,
The community has contributed their labor.
We now appeal to you to help us complete. We still need funding for the corrugated roof sheets, plastering, windows, fans, wiring, and tiles.

Roofing for Mvuleni Masjid

With rainy season just around the corner, Lindi Islamic Foundation of Tanzania (LIFT) supplemented the funds raised to-date with funds from its operational budget to purchase 160 corrugated roofing sheets. Work started yesterday to affix them.
