Allaah subhanahu wa ta'ala says (interpretation of the meaning):
“O you who believe! Spend of that with which We have provided for you, before a Day comes when there will be no bargaining, nor friendship, nor intercession. And it is the disbelievers who are the Zaalimoon (wrongdoers)”
[al-Baqarah 2:254]
It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) : “Allaah said: ‘Spend, O son of Adam, and I shall spend on you.’”
Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5073; Muslim, 993.
Dear brothers and sisters,
Most masajid in well-to-do areas are spending millions on new construction and expansion projects, mashaAllah. Then there are simpler masajid in less-affluent neighborhoods that don't have a large pool of donors. Masjid Saliheen is amongst a few in the area that rents space. This fundraising is not for construction or any mega-project. It is simply to help with their shortfall in operating expenses.

Masjid Saliheen offers a beautiful and welcoming environment for all.
There's a sister's section on the first floor where Quran and Academics is taught all-day. Boys are taught Quran and Academics upstairs. The majority of the musalees are Afghan yet the Imam is from Bangladesh. This is because there are no politics here... just a place to connect with Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
A comfortable and clean environment is provided throughout Ramadan, no to mention cold water bottles :)
As you can see, there's a monthly deficit of $4,000 - $5,000. This accumulates over time making it difficult to pay bills. The few volunteers have to focus on collecting funds. If we can help them financially, they can focus on more pressing need like connecting the youth of the neighborhood with Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
